Here is Courtney's cake, that she designed. She wanted carnations since that is her new favorite flower. I'd never made those before and I have 3 different books that tell how to make them in 3 different ways. I am not sure I am sold on this particular method. They turned out OK but not as well as I had hoped. This is a vanilla cake with vanilla icing. That was also what the birthday girl wanted. Can you imagine a girl that doesn't prefer chocolate to anything else?
