Amanda wanted a red velvet cake for her birthday but she didn't tell me anything about how she would like it to look. So I just went with this idea I found in one of my books that I hadn't tried yet. It was fun and I like how it turned out. My version was larger than the original cake but that was good because it gave me room to add the writing.
